Access Log Manager
What's the purpose of the Access Log Manager? What type of information will it supply you with?
An access log is a text file that contains an extensive list of all the files accessed by your website visitors. All the files that were requested in one way or another shall be included, so if you have a PHP script program and a site visitor opens just the home page, for instance, you may find numerous files inside the log. This is because there are components on the home page which are embedded - parts of other web pages, pics, etcetera. These files shall be listed in the access log, so you're able to get a full picture of the way your site performs. The info is in plain text format, so the logs are often described as "raw data" as well. An access log shows the name of each requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, and also the user’s IP address, world-wide web browser and OS. More information, including the referrer site, is sometimes included too. A log file can be processed by various desktop applications for statistical purposes as an addition to the web statistics generated by your web server.

Access Log Manager in Hosting
Our custom Hepsia CP has a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are one of them. When you sign in to your
hosting account and navigate to this section, you will find a list of all the
domains and subdomains you have. All it takes to enable the generation of access logs is to press a button that will be available next to each and every domain/subdomain. In case the option is enabled, you will see a download link and also the file size so far, so you'll be able to save the file to your PC and look at it or process it with some app. Enabling or disabling the logs becomes effective immediately, so if you no longer require one, you may stop it with just a click from the same section of the Control Panel. You shall still be able to access the already created content by clicking on the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our leading-edge hosting platform shall generate access logs for each and every site hosted in a
semi-dedicated server account, assuming that this feature is enabled. All domains and subdomains that you have will be listed in the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, which we offer with all the accounts, so if you need our system to start generating logs for any of them, you should simply click on the little button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and switch the default Off option to On. You'll be able to stop this feature anytime by following exactly the same steps. You will find a Download link for every single log inside the very same section of the CP, so you may save the content generated by our system in .txt format with no more than a mouse click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the function has been deactivated, so you'll still be able to see the data which has already been generated.
